Simple web communication that works

During a major internationalization process in the spring of 2007, Danish DtecNet decided to upgrade the company’s visual profile on the Internet. DtecNet has positioned itself as a market leader within the market for security software and counseling for companies and organizations that wish to protect their digital products, such as music and movies, from being copied and distributed illegally. The increased international focus and success entailed the need for a website that could present the company and its products and services in a clear and easily accessible format.

 

DtecNet contacted the web bureau, Fonqi, with a well-defined idea of what they wanted the new website to communicate to the company’s constituencies. Ralf Sohl, creative partner, took part in the preliminary dialogue and needs analysis.
Ever since DtecNet went into business, Fonqi has participated in the development of their graphical profile. It was therefore a natural step that we also assisted in the creation of the new website. Early in the creative process it became clear to us that it would be an indisputable advantage to use a Dynamicweb platform. Since both DtecNet and Dynamicweb are developed on a .NET platform, we can ensure that, in the future, DtecNet’s website can be integrated with their own web-based software and in this way give the visitors the best possible experience and introduction to the products.

Keep it simple

Effective communication is not always the same as functionally complicated web portals. Based on this mindset, Fonqi built DtecNet’s website on a Dynamicweb Light solution. When choosing the solution level, DtecNet’s current and future online communication needs were carefully considered. On the current platform the focus is on the fact that the website’s visitors come from very diverse backgrounds. Customers, journalists and job-seekers, to mention a few, will find information and material especially targeted their segment. In this connection it has been an invariable demand that the daily management of the website should be decentralized, geographically independent, and not require advanced IT skills. One module, endless possibilities

DtecNet stresses the importance of having a constantly up-to-date website. To solve this task the web solution has been added the Dynamicweb News module which is used for several purposes. It is used to publish news to the press and to publish information about job openings.
