Føroya Tele wants to be known as a company that understands and listens to its customers. Therefore, when the company launched its new website, the primary focus was on giving its customers up to date information in a user-friendly way and, moreover, on encouraging dialogue between Føroya Tele and their customers.
The Dynamicweb distributor Sendistovan was assigned the task of implementing and designing the new site, and the result is clear: The new ft.fo is a visually inspiring site with a very successful web shop!
User-friendly front- and backend
To meet the demands of a user-friendly frontend, the website has been divided into three parts that that correspond to the three core areas of the company: The private customer, the business customer, and the web shop.
Using a standard design based on the company colors, black, white and red, each area was given its specific theme color. This new design has given the ft.fo a visually coherent look that makes it significantly easier for the customers to navigate round the site.
Elin Michelsen, Web Coordinator at Føroya Tele is more than satisfied with the new website and points out:
The new ft.fo brings us closer to our customers than before, and we feel that they see a more accurate picture of our company.
With the launch of the new site, not only has the frontend become more user-friendly – with Dynamicweb CMS, it has also become easy to manage the backend.
Since the old site was not previously based on a CMS, the shift to Dynamicweb CMS has been a great change for the better. Where only one person, with special IT competences, was able to manage the old site, the new ft.fo can easily be managed by everyone at Føroya Tele after just a short training session at Dynamicweb. According to Føroya Tele, this is a great advantage of the system, and Elin Michelsen adds:
Dynamicweb has a lot of possibilities but is still a system that can be used by many different users with different levels of computer knowledge. It is also a great plus that our programmers can work on the system after attending the developer workshop.
