By a series of airline connections arriving and departing from the airports of Madeira, the island is linked to the rest of the world. Particularly in the summer, thousands of people rush through the airports to catch their flights or pick up their friends and families. With more than 40,000 visits each month, ANAM, the official website of Madeira Islands Airports, has several purposes. The most important ones are to provide information to the airport travellers and to promote the airports and destinations in the international market.

The website was previously supported by a content management system that was difficult to update and had many bugs which made the update process complicated. Therefore, ANAM chose Dynamicweb CMS as their new solution to be implemented by the web agency Alencastre.net.

According to Ricardo Alencastre, the Director of Alencastre.net, with Dynamicweb CMS, the update process is now easy, and thereby the workload has been reduced significantly. Moreover, with the new solution the ANAM staffs no longer have to spend money whenever they have to make small changes to the website such as images, text and flash movies.
 

Smooth take-off with Dynamicweb CMS

When ANAM wanted a new website, they wanted to keep the same design and features as before. With Dynamicweb CMS this was not a problem. “The implementation process was very straightforward. After ANAM signed the agreement, we just replicated the design and loaded the existing content to the new CMS”, says Ricardo Alencastre".

Live flight information on the frontpage

With the many flights arriving and departing, the travellers often find it hard to get an overview of the flight information. Therefore, Alencastre.net developed an interface with live flight information directly on the front page. Now, with a simple click, travellers can go to www.anam.pt where they can easily find the latest updated flight information, regardless of time and place. Ricardo Alencastre enthuses on how satisfied the customer was:

ANAM liked Dynamicweb so much that they didn’t even consider any other solutions. ANAM is very satisfied with the new CMS and also mentioned how amazed they were with the fact that they were able to keep exactly the same design that they had before.
