Daa Contenidos Digitales is a leading Spanish publisher managing a network of portals with information about different aspects of IT technology. 

As a result of their growing business, the company now controls around 20 different websites in Spanish under the brand IT-Latino.net - and all of these websites need daily updating and managing. 

With the relaunch of their portal Info BPM, Daa Contenidos Digitales was looking for a flexible publication platform that allowed for a dynamic publication of articles following a complex system of categories and subcategories. At the same time, they needed to be able to control the access to attached documents to the various articles in order to have detailed statistics about users accessing specific documents. 

Daa Contenidos Digitales chose Dynamicweb as platform for the relaunch of Info BPM because of its modular structure and the possibilities of scaling the solution to several portals in the near future.

The central part of the solution is based on an extensive custom module based on the Dynamicweb News module in order to assure an easy editing of the different kinds of articles and case studies on the website. Following the initial categorization of each article, it is automatically published within the different categories and subcategories established for Info BPM. At the same time, the module is prepared for the future creation of new portals for the network in order to manage the publication of articles in several websites following different kinds of categorization of the content. With Dynamicweb Daa Contenidos Digitales got both the security of standard software and the possibility to invent and build their own functionality.

Central user management

Another important aspect of the new portal is the central user management module that allows users to register online in order to access the restricted attached documents. At the same time, the module gathers different statistics about the user behavior online and the access to the different documents.

During the registration process, the module controls the validity of the users email address to assure that only corporate emails are used to create the profile. This is done through the management of an email blacklist within the module.

In the near future, Daa Contenidos Digitales will include the Dynamicweb iPaper module with the purpose of publishing the different PDF files in a more attractive way online and at the same time restrict the download of the documents to assure that the different documents can only be accessed through the portal.

Another feature that turned the scale towards Dynamicweb was the Dynamicweb SEO module. Daa Contenidos Digitales were very pleased with the functionality that allowed them to optimize entire websites as well as individual pages and thus hopefully get a better ranking with Google - and generate even more traffic on all of the portals!
