 Our Website of the Month in May was Europcar’s new website. Since then, Europcar has developed a new website for one of their subdivisions, Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard.
The reason for developing this new, separate website is that Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard follows a different business strategy than Europcar as Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard specializes in renting tax-free cars to Danes living abroad. However, the car rental company is still part of Europcar.
To ensure that website visitors were able to associate Bukkehave Car Rental with Europcar, it was decided to develop a website which follows Europcar’s existing layout, but differs as regards content.

From design to implementation
As the above website requirements were specified, the new website for Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard was ready to be developed. As Dafolo Marketing had developed Europcar's website successfully, they were also given the task of developing Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard’s new website:
“The new website was neither particularly difficult nor time-consuming to develop. Due to the flexible structure of Dynamicweb, it was possible to copy the existing templates used on Europcar’s main website. Thus, the new website was actually not far from going live, as the layout used on the two websites was completely consistent. By establishing a close cooperation with Europcar’s webmaster, it took us less than a week to develop the website and make it go live”, says Ole Frølich from Dafolo Marketing.
The new website has provided Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard with a web solution that gives visitors a strong association with Europcar. At the same time, Bukkehave Car Rental/Østergaard has complete control over website content and thus, they are able to differentiate themselves from Europcar’s main business strategy and concentrate on their own core business area.
