March - Norske Skog

March 2008 : Norske skog

A website with a clear, intuitive structure, a user-friendly system and a product which is reliable and trustworthy. These were some of the reasons why the Norwegian paper manufacturer chose Dynamicweb CMS

Norske Skog, which is one of the world leaders in the paper industry, renewed their CMS platform because the old one was no longer up-to-date. They wanted a face lift for their visual profile and an easier navigation. With the rotation of 5 different frontends, and the new iPaper module to present quarterly and annual reports to our investors - it was vital to them, that the new system was easy to operate and able to build websites with clear and transparent structures.

The main reason for replacing our content management system was to get a stabile, dynamic and simple user interface which will be favourable for both our visitors and administrators. With Dynamicweb we can create a clear structure of our websites and we are very pleased with the technological solution and new the new visual profile and implementation done by our partner Capella Media.

Norske Skog

Transparency

Being one of the largest paper manufacturers of the world, Norske Skog is very aware of their responsibility towards the environment.

A whole section of their website adresses sustainability, where the Dynamicweb iPaper module is used to present Norske Skog's environmental policy and reports. The company has received numerous certifications for ensuring and documenting that their environmental work is pursued in line with the principles of sustainable development.

The way the documents and information are presented makes it transparent and very obvious to visitors that Norske Skog takes their social responsibility seriously!

From Norway to the world

Norske Skog's origins lie with Nordenfjelske Treforedling AS, founded on 1 March 1962. The first paper machine at Skogn started production in 1966.

The expansion outside of Europe started in 1998 with acquisition of mills in large parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Brazil. At present, Norske Skog is the world’ s second largest producer of newsprint, and has the broadest geographical coverage, with mills in 14 countries.
