Well-driven website

Europcar is the largest car rental company in Europe. It is represented in 118 countries throughout the world and has more than 2,650 franchisees. By using their new, Danish website, www.europcar.dk, visitors are now able to find the exact information that they need.

Europcar wanted a solution which was based on both their and their customers’ needs and wishes. Thus, they turned to Dafolo Marketing, an advertising agency which works with B2B, B2C, branding, web, graphic design, TV commercials and PR. The agency was established in 1936 and since then, it has handled several large projects. This means that they are very experienced within the area. Dafolo Marketing entered into a close co-operation with Europcar in order to develop a solution which could meet the both the needs of the customers and the requirements of the future.

From design to implementation

Thus, the website www.europcar.dk was developed. Several of the website requirements were solved by using the numerous modules which are integrated into a standard Dynamicweb Portal solution.

We chose to use Dynamicweb for the web solution as it provides us with a wide range of possibilities for us as well as for our customer. The customer is able to implement standard features without problems, and we as a partner is able to offer integration with our customer’s own IT systems by developing customized modules. Now, it can't get more flexible than that!”, says Ole Frølich from Dafolo Marketing.  

Improving customer orientation…

…but using fewer resources! The website gives Europcar the option of leaving the information retrieval up to the individual customer. This eliminates quite a few of the otherwise time-consuming phone calls each day.

Our Dynamicweb solution enables us to market ourselves towards our various target groups, both on the B2B and the B2C markets. Everything can be managed by our own employees which are able to update and maintain website content in a fast and easy way. Moreover, customers are able to book their car online by using a customized booking feature which retrieves prices, hire locations, cars etc. from Europcar’s internal IT system. An SMS notification feature has also been implemented. This means that customers always receive an order confirmation. The multiple features on our new website enable us to assist our customers in the best possible way. Our customers’ needs were of the utmost importance when we designed our new website”, says Rune Lindqvist from Europcar.

Thus, the new website enables Europcar to improve their customer orientation.

Furthermore, Europcar can easily develop their website in the future. This means that they are able to keep up with the latest development within Internet technology.
