| Differentiated product areas with tight control | ||||||
GPV Group operate on a market with a high degree of specialization which means that it was imperative that they could collect all their product information in a single solution. At the same time, they wanted a solution which made it possible develop and expand their web solution according to their needs in a flexible and scaleable way.
Not only did they need to collect and control the information regarding both their main and supporting business areas, but they also wanted to be able to control the overall design of the solution. However, daily users of the system should not feel that this restricted their work with maintaining and updating the web solution.
Together with Ørskov, GPV Group made a list of requirements and an implementation plan regarding the conditions which had to apply for the new web solution.

Together with Ørskov, GPV Group made a list of requirements and an implementation plan regarding the conditions which had to apply for the new web solution.
“By analysing the wishes, requirements and needs that GPV had to their future website, we chose to recommend a solution based on Dynamicweb. By using Dynamicweb, it was possible to live up to the requirements which GPV had to their online communication. Furthermore, it is our experience that content management systems is the future for innovative and flexible users of the internet. By using Dynamicweb, GPV now have a tool which enables them to control the line of their design from a central place, but at the same time the solution is so flexible that the daily updates can be carried out by everybody at GPV”, says Bente Lægsgaard from Ørskov which implemented the solution at GPV Group.

Tool with development possibilitiesWhereas GPV formerly had a relatively static website, they now have a tool which, in a dynamic and user friendly way, enables them to pursue the development plans which they have set down for the solution. Without having to work with a technically cumbersome solution, that is.
This means that GPV have access to a solution that on one hand enables the main office to control the general internet strategy, but on the other hand provides the daily users of the system with a tool which enables them to communicate to all of their target groups and segments here and now.
By integrating their information with the content management system Dynamicweb, it is now possible to let people from each product area manage their own part of the web solution which helps to ensure that the information is up-to-date at all times regarding the general information level. But equally important; the solution always contains the latest news from each area.
The fact that GPV Group are listed on the stock exchange means that they have a unique possibility to live up to the strict requirements which exist within their branch of trade, especially then it concerns information which has the potential to affect their stock value. As an additional service to their shareholders, the solution is always able to display the current share price as it is downloaded directly from the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
GPV Group in briefGPV was established back in Copenhagen in 1961, but in 1979 they moved their production to Tarm where they also decided to place their main office ten years later. Today, their production covers three independent business areas, and they also have subsidiaries in both Europe and Asia.
