International Red Cross
The International Federation was founded in 1919 in Paris in the aftermath of World War I. It was Henry Davison, president of the American Red Cross War Committee, who proposed forming a federation of these National Societies. The first objective of the Federation was to improve the health of people in countries that had suffered greatly during the four years of war. Its goals were "to strengthen and unite, for health activities, already-existing Red Cross Societies and to promote the creation of new Societies".

Thus, they needed a website which could provide users with an overview of information which used to be scattered across various websites. With their new website, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries have established a single portal which provides access to the numerous self-service solutions and service activities that the various institutions within the Ministry have to offer.

Aidsalliance
Established in 1993, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance (the Alliance) is a global partnership of nationally-based organisations working to support community action on AIDS. These national partners help local community groups and other non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to take action on AIDS, and are supported by technical expertise, policy work and fundraising.

The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation helps improve educational opportunities and intercultural living for deprived children and young people in ten countries worldwide. The DMA is the UK's defence trade association and the voice of the UK Defence Industry. It has over 615 members (in the DMA and APPSS - Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers). Its members supply products and services to Government agencies and contractors in the Defence, Police and Public Security markets worldwide. The Município da Ponta do Sol - or the Municipality of Ponta do Sol - on the Isle of Madeira, implemented a new website in order to give their residents easy access to all relevant information about the municipality. The site has a calender of events, maps of the area and even records of curious historic facts about the district.

The Working Environment Council in Denmark
The Working Environment Council (Arbejdsmiljørådet) is a forum where various labour market parties discuss and co-operate on achieving a safe and healthy working environment. The council consists of representatives and officials from employee organisations (trade unions etc.) and various employers' associations within both the public and private sector. The website is used to inform about decisions, progress in committees, research within the area etc. Moreover, visitors are able to sign up for newsletters, find relevant information by using a sitemap etc., and the website also uses an extranet to communicate efficiently with the council's many interested partners.

CIRIUS
CIRIUS is an agency under the Danish Ministry of Education with the aim to support the internationalisation of education and training in Denmark. CIRIUS is also the central place in Denmark where persons with foreign qualifications can get these assessed and recognised. The agency wanted a user-friendly website where visitors could find the exact information that they needed. Moreover, the agency also has a large amount of information to manage on their website which means that it had to be extremely easy to maintain.

Danish Plant Directorate
The Danish Plant Directorate is a government institution under the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. In accordance with the government's wishes, the Danish Plant Directorate has introduced digital service. The directorate has implemented a portal of interest to a wide range of users. The solution is based on an intuitive and easy to use access point for the individual user. The users of the portal can e.g. send regular on-line reports to the directorate.

EAI
The Environmental Assessment Institute (EAI) is an independent institution under the Danish Ministry of the Environment, lead by a Board of Directors of seven members. The Institute informs on all aspects concerning both national and international enviromental issues. The website is set up as a portal for everybody who has an interest in the environment, and all use is free of charge.
