VMF.FO is the official Faroese stock-exchange, giving it’s users a complete overview of  the Faroese, Icelandic and Danish stock markets.

The users can register, and build their own profiles displaying the stocks and indexes most relevant to them. They can create their own portfolio, checklists and receive other notifications about the companies they are interested in.

The website is developed by Sendistovan in cooperation with the financial data supplier Euroland. The platform is a Dynamicweb Business solution combining standard add-on modules with custom modules and components.

Dynamicweb standard modules such as Dynamicweb Forms, Dynamicweb News and Dynamicweb RSS are integral parts of the website. Providing Virðisbrævamarknaður Føroya with the necessary tools, to keep the flow of financial information active.

A content management system that expands!

Sendistovan has developed custom modules and components for the integration of the Euroland financial data using Dynamicweb Developer and Dynamicweb Database Publishing for the development.

These include a flash component, which reads xml data, and draws flash charts, a financial data import module and a module for exporting financial data to excel. The flash component is used for displaying the national index, and in a slightly different version for displaying bonds information from Nordea.
 

Our main objective with the site was to break new ground. We wanted to provide the Faroese public and investors a tool for tracking both local and international securities. This was a huge task, involving an innovative approach. We are very pleased with the end result and the final solution. Both technical possibilities, the layout and the user friendliness have met our high demands.
